Audrey LaVon Giles, age 76, passed away Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, surrounded by her loving family in Heber City. She was born Oct. 1, 1929, in Heber City, to William Earl Giles and Ruby Mae Stanley. She married her best friend and sweetheart, Royal A. Giles, on Nov. 7, 1946. They enjoyed many activities together, most of all traveling in their motor home.
Audrey is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Royal; her mother, Ruby Giles; three children: Carolyn (Kent) Kolan of Mountain Green; Kenneth (Cindy) of Heber City; and Brent (Dorothy) of Heber City; three sisters: Chloe Smith of Linden; Ruth (Jay) Sulser of Heber City; and Earlene (James) Prescott of South Jordan; brother, Stanley (Dianne) Giles of Heber City; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, brother, William "Boyd" Giles, and brother-in-law, Nyle Smith.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, 11 a.m. at Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 North Main Street, Heber City. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will follow in the Heber City Cemetery.
