A Park City High School graduate died Monday while serving a Mormon mission in Brazil.
A spokesman for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said a vehicle hit Matthew Lawrence Knoop Sunday in Catu, about two hours from Salvador. He was serving a mission in Salvador.
He was 20 years old.
The spokesman said he died at a hospital.
He had been on the mission for 10 months.
A Park City High School official said he was a graduate, but it was not immediately clear what year he finished school.
