A skier from Wyoming died after crashing at Park City Mountain Resort Friday, the Park City Police Department said.
According to the Police Department, Joshua Archambault was skiing with friends on the resort’s Sunrise run. The police said it appeared that he lost control at approximately 2:50 p.m., left the groomed part of the trail and collided with a tree. Ski patrollers arrived within a few minutes, but he died at the scene, the police said. He was wearing a helmet.
He was 28 years old and from Evanston, Wyo.
Sunrise is rated an advanced run. It is situated off the resort’s McConkey’s lift.
