Bode Miller hopes to sell his house in the Park City area for $499,500.
The single-level, 2,451-square-foot home has four bedrooms and is located at 5164 Heather Lane in Silver Springs.
“It’s currently rented and has been for some time,” said Ron Wilstein, a RE/MAX Mountain Properties broker who is marketing the home.
Miller, an alpine ski racer, won a gold medal for the United States at the Vancouver Olympics in February.
“I talked to him ironically during the Olympics. He happened to call in before he raced so I called him back,” Wilstein said. “We were just talking about the activity on the house. He seems to be a very upright guy.”
Miller purchased the house in May 2004. At one time the skier lived in the home, Wilstein said.
“We’ve never tried to promote it as Bode Miller’s house nor has he asked us to,” Wilstein said in a telephone interview. “It just happens to be his house.”
The house sits on nearly a half-acre of land and has an assessed value of $686,776, according to the Summit County Recorder’s Office.
Miller originally priced the home at $515,000.
“We reduced it to $499,500 recently,” Wilstein said. “He is a little more motivated than he was originally.”
Prospective buyers are frequently shown the home, he said.
“People have been looking at it but we’re not currently under contract,” Wilstein said.
The house has been on the market since summer 2009.
“There was an offer that was not accepted,” Wilstein said.
