Workers are continuing to build an asphalt pathway along Holiday Ranch Loop Road in Park Meadows. The 3,100-foot-long pathway, designed for pedestrians and bicyclists, will run from S.R. 224 to the northern intersection with Little Kate Road.
Matt Twombly, who designs trails for City Hall, says the paving should be completed by Oct. 15, with landscaping and the installation of an irrigation system following afterward. He says the pathway should open by early November.
The pathway, measuring eight feet wide, will not be plowed, though, meaning that snow will pile up as winter sets in. Twombly says City Hall could include the pathway on its plowing list later, depending on whether there are funds available.
The pathway cost $775,000 to build and another $85,000 for engineering work. The funding was earmarked from a voter-authorized ballot measure to upgrade pedestrian and bicyclist routes in Park City.
