Mountain Valley Financial, located at 228 W. State Road 248 in Kamas, is hosting a coat drive for needy families in Summit County.
New or gently used coats can be dropped at the business Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Last year we had quite a few This year it’s down,” said Amy Yost, owner of Mountain Valley Financial. “We would like more people to bring in coats We get all kinds, small coats, baby coats, heavy coats, light jackets.”
Yost said she hopes to collect all the coats by Dec. 15.
“They need to be in good condition,” she explained. “We take the coats here so we can distribute them in our community.”
Yost said she will work with religious organizations and the Kamas Lions Club in distributing the coats to families in time for Christmas. The coat drive is in its third year.
“Go through your closets, because time is running out,” Yost said.
