The Neil Simon Festival from Cedar City, Utah wraps up their summer season and takes the show on the road, stopping over one weekend in Park City at the Egyptian Theatre.
"Barefoot in the Park," a classic Neil Simon-New York tale, will be presented at Park City’s Egyptian Theatre from Aug. 19 to 21.
As the story goes, Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. He’s a straight-as-an-arrow lawyer and she’s a free spirit always looking for the latest kick. After a six day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie’s loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic Velasco, where everything that can go wrong, does. Paul just doesn’t understand Corie, as she sees it. He’s too stuffy, too boring and she just wants him to be a little more spontaneous, running "barefoot in the park" would be a start…
The Neil Simon Festival is now in its ninth season, performing at the Heritage Center Theatre in Cedar City during their summer season. Their mission statement is

The Neil Simon Festival will present "Barefoot in the Park" at the Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main St., from Friday, Aug. 19, to Sunday Aug. 21. Friday and Saturday performances are 8 p.m. and Sunday curtain is 6 p.m. Adult tickets range from $22 to $30 and youth tickets for ages 12 and younger are $12 to $15.
