Park City Medical Center says thanks

For nearly four years, Park City Medical Center has proudly served the community, bringing a unique healthcare experience to Summit County residents and visitors. We are pleased to announce that on August 1st, we will expand our level of services to include intensive care medicine. Our new ICU will bring an even higher level of care to the Wasatch Back, and keep patients, and their loved ones, close to home in times of crisis.
We were able to show off our new ICU at a community open house on July 12, and were positively thrilled with the turnout. Approximately 1,800 people stopped by to take a tour of this new department and learn more about our services. To everyone who came to the open house, we thank you for taking such a keen interest in Park City Medical Center’s new ICU.
This ICU wouldn’t be here without the support of the community. And while we hope you never have to use it, if you do, you can be sure you’ll receive the same high level of attention and care we are proud to be known for.

More for accolades for Alex
Dear Editor,
I have worked closely with Alex Butwinski since our participation as classmates in the Leadership XV class nearly 5 years ago. Since then, we’ve worked together in various community capacities including as fellow Board members of the Park City Rotarians. We worked together when I was a member of the Board of Directors with Recycle Utah while Alex was the City Council’s Liaison.
Now, as a Planning Commissioner, I work with Alex as the City Council’s Liaison. I have always found Alex to be well informed and responsible. I will also find him sitting in many other meetings throughout our community. Alex really cares about Park City. I remember how excited he was when he told me wanted to run for a City Council position over four years ago. He won and we should all be thankful for his dedication to Park City and his interest in making us an even better place to live than it already is.
I am supporting Alex Butwinski for Park City Council.

Senior visitors enjoy picnic in the park

The Park City Chamber/Bureau’s annual Summer Senior Picnic was held on July 11 at City Park with approximately 90 summer senior visitors in attendance. Many of these visitors come to Park City each summer year after year, staying for a month or more and enjoying our delightful weather and activities.
We want to thank all who contributed to the success of this event: Joel Fine, Eric Samuels and guest artists of the Utah Music Festival, and Myles Rademan. Also thanks to Joe Cronley, Great Harvest Bread Co., Wasatch Audio/Visual, Park City Municipal, and to all of our members who donated prizes for our raffle and/or participated in our Summer Senior Program with special lodging deals and other offers for the Silver Card. We are grateful for your support!
