Two Bountiful men suffered serious injuries when one of their motorcycles hit the other Sunday night on Brown’s Canyon Road.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office reported the men were taken to the University of Utah Hospital, one of them in critical condition. Summit County Sgt. Ron Bridge described the men, ages 34 and 24, of Bountiful, as friends.
Bridge said both drivers were traveling in the same direction down Brown’s Canyon road when, for an unknown reason, one of them “stopped short and the other ran into him.” The drivers lost control and crashed at approximately 9:15 p.m. Bridge didn’t know if the men were wearing helmets.
An investigation into the accident is pending. Bridge said the case will be sent to the county attorney’s office for screening and possible charges.
