The South Summit Wildcats will be playing host to the Delta Rabbits Friday at 6 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the UHSAA 2A playoffs. The contest will be the Wildcats’ first since Oct. 13, having been on bye as the classification’s second seed, but they’ll need to come out sharp against the Rabbits, who’re coming off a 42-0 victory over South Sevier last week. A key to victory for South Summit will be keeping their star QB/WR tandem in Bracken Lassche and Trey Stembridge rolling, with the two both ranking top 25 in the state in yards thrown for and touchdowns scored, respectively. If the Wildcats advance, they’ll face the winner of Layton Christian Academy and Providence Hall in the semifinals Nov. 4 at Zions Bank Stadium.
