Seasonal cheer filled Main Street on Tuesday night as Parkites of all ages donned their creative costumes and headed downtown for an evening of sweets and festivities. This time, their furry friends came along.
Vikings, aliens, dinosaurs, cowboys, jedis, Barbies — you name it. The Halloween spirit was palpable despite the cold.
Participating businesses offered handfuls of candy to eager trick-or-treaters, some even had bags of fresh popcorn. KPCW played music through big speakers, and further down Main a few musicians performed live.
Looking up, some businesses had elaborate decorations — Pine Cone Ridge leaned heavily on the Tim Burton “Nightmare Before Christmas” aesthetic with huge statues of the beloved Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie characters posed along their balcony. Other balconies were filled with diners, enjoying a drink or a bite as the crowd wandered below.
