In these challenging times, we, the members of the Park City Interfaith Council, come together as representatives of diverse faith communities to stand united in our shared commitment to peace, compassion and unity. We believe that by embracing our differences, we can strengthen our collective resilience against hate, intolerance, and violence.
It is with heavy hearts that we address the recent terror attacks that occurred in Israel on Oct. 7. We unequivocally denounce the acts of violence perpetrated by any group, including the attacks carried out by Hamas. Our thoughts and prayers to God go out to all those affected by these tragic events, and we extend our deepest condolences to the victims and their families.
Antisemitism and hate have no place in our society. We stand resolutely against any form of discrimination or prejudice aimed at our Jewish brothers and sisters. We affirm our commitment to fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment for people of all faiths, races and backgrounds.
We firmly believe in the power of interfaith dialogue and collaboration to build bridges of understanding, promote empathy, and counteract the divisive forces that seek to tear us apart. Together, we can strive for a future where peace and harmony prevail over hatred and violence.
As members of the Park City Interfaith Council, we call upon our community to join us in rejecting antisemitism, hatred, and terrorism. Let us work together to ensure that our community remains a place of love, respect, and unity, where the bonds of our shared humanity are cherished and strengthened.
