The Soldier Hollow biathlon World Cup concluded on Sunday with the mens and womens pursuit events. Johannes Thignes Boe won the 12.5k men’s event, and Lou Jeanmonnot won the 10k women’s event.
Boe got it done with a time of 30:02.0; Jeanmonnot with a time of 26:51.7. The events contributed to both of their excellent seasons, where Boe is the top-ranked athlete in the world and Jeanmonnot fifth.
Boe also won Soldier Hollow’s 4×7.5k relay with team Norway on Friday.
Boe, Jeanmonnot and the rest of the field will look to carry this momentum into the final week of the season this week. They will be competing in Canmore, Canada from Thursday to Sunday.
The Canmore Cup will have sprint, pursuit and mass start races for both men and women. It will kickoff Thursday with the women’s 7.5k sprint at 10:40 a.m. and conclude Sunday with the men’s 15k mass start at 3:20 p.m.
Boe will be looking to hold off his older brother Tarjei for the year-end title, and Jeanmonnot will seek to catch some of her French teammates ahead of her in the standings. Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold of Norway leads the women’s Cup standings with 964 points.
