Kudos to The Park Record for the recent front-page article featuring the White Pine Nordic Center on the Park City Municipal Golf Course. This facility is a community treasure that needs to be nurtured by our city government.
It is enjoyed by young and old, locals and visitors. The nordic center provides a place for young athletes to engage in healthy exercise and learn a sport that will lead to a lifetime of fitness. It also gives local residents a place to ski on the weekends while visitors enjoy the alpine resorts.
I encourage the Park City Council to prioritize maintaining and improving the nordic center for generations of Parkites.
