Maren Morris’ “The Dreamsicle Tour,” The Revivalists and Kaleo are ready to hit the Snow Park Amphitheater stage as part of this year’s Deer Valley Concert Series lineup.
Morris is scheduled to perform on July 29. The Revivalists are set for Aug. 29, and Kaleo’s show will open Sept. 1, according to Chris Mautz, co-owner of the State Room Presents, which programs the Deer Valley Concert Series.
“We have some more shows that we’ll roll out in the next little while, and we’re looking forward to what we’ve got coming,” he said.
The Deer Valley Concert Series, not to be confused with the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera’s Deer Valley Music Festival, hit the resort in 2018 through a partnership with the State Room Presents forged by Mautz and co-owner Darin Piccoli.
State Room Presents is the company that not only programs the State Room concerts, but also the Red Butte Garden Summer series in Salt Lake City.
“Our relationship with Deer Valley goes back quite a ways, and we started doing one-off shows back in 2010 or 2012,” Mautz said.
A couple of those concerts include John Fogerty and the Steve Miller Band, according to Mautz.
“Prior to that, I helped Deer Valley with the World Cup concerts on Main Street,” he said. So, we have built a great connection and relationship with them.”
After the success of those first few shows, State Room Presents and Deer Valley Resort put together the Deer Valley Concert Series and leaned into that relationship.
Lindsay Arnold joined Deer Valley Resort as events and sponsorship manager in 2023, after 13 years with the U.S. Ski Team, and has since learned a lot regarding the work that goes into building a concert series every summer.
“I appreciate how State Room Presents speaks to different Deer Valley guests as well as age groups and audiences,” she said. “They don’t try to angle it to one type of music, because they are always trying to think of shows and music that touches a lot of different people.”
Arnold and Mautz held many discussions regarding the current season.
“We’ll go back and forth asking if this artists may work or if this one will fit,” she said. “We look at established artists as well as new and up-and-coming artists to get a hold of us millennials out there.”
The big challenge of creating the Deer Valley Concert Series is “doing right by the resort,” Mautz said.
“I need to see through and be mindful of the intention because we don’t want to turn this into something that it isn’t,” he said. “We are always looking at ways to expand it but need to remember what Deer Valley represents. The marketplace has grown, as has the resort. So there are a lot of different opportunities for bands to look where to play.”

Deer Valley is a ski resort first and foremost, according to Arnold.
“But we’re a resort with a music identity,” she said. “So, it’s been educational seeing how Chris and his team adapt and set up their artists to play here.”
Mautz loves the feel and aesthetic of the Snow Park Amphitheater stage.
“I think the resort has done a great job of continuing to improve and enhance the infrastructure and being mindful of the artists and patrons,” he said. “It is so magnificent to look across the vistas and then realize there’s a show happening.”
Concert goers’ experience doesn’t just end with seeing and hearing live music. Gourmet picnic bags, featuring herb-roasted chicken, beef tenderloin, teriyaki salmon and veggie options, are also available to them for an elevated picnic experience.
In addition, the music lovers can turn their experience into an overnight stay and receive 15% off lodging with the Getaway and Stay Package, available at Lodges at Deer Valley and Silver Baron Lodge, according to Arnold.
Mautz moved to Salt Lake City in 2017 and never dreamed his career would be intimately intertwined with Deer Valley.
“If you would have told me that I would have the career I have and that I would be able to align with the power and magnitude of the resort’s brand, I would have said you were full of it,” he said with a laugh. “So, looking back on this ride, I want to respect what they’re all about and what the brand has delivered on all sides of the marketplace and the world. There are a lot of tours, and it’s just trying to find those needles in the haystack that can come together for us.”
