I’ve been asked if the Summit County GOP has plans to respond to the No Kings rally.
My answer: A shrug of the shoulders and an eye roll. What is there to respond to?
It is no revelation that leftists hate the president with a wild-eyed fervor. Nor is delegitimizing his election (in wonderfully hypocritical fashion) a new tactic. I am not at all surprised that leftists have, once again, declared their version of democracy the only legitimate version despite Donald Trump’s impressive victory — recently reinforced by the Pew Research poll which found that, among other things, had voter turnout been higher, Trump’s victory would only have been more resounding and that he improved greatly among non-white voters despite the constant drum beat decrying him as racist.
So leftists are out clogging highways and yelling at the sky again (still, really?). Who cares?
Besides the innocent shopkeepers losing their livelihoods and the cops required to risk their lives over a smattering of arthritic hippies, bougieanti-capitalists, opportunistic looters and snot nosed “anarchists”?
The only difference this time is that the felon inducing them to the streets is a rich white man, which according to the “progressive” bible commands vehement indignation. For non-white criminals, check the topical guide under “sainthood.”
So Waymo-fueled smoke signals were sent up between sanctuary cities and communist fists were projected into the sky like antifa bat signals. Swarms of baristas frantically donned their neon war paint and co-exist buttons to answer the call to muster — after, of course, mom finished warming their chicken nuggies. … Can’t join the resistance on an empty tum tum.
No, I wasn’t compelled to respond with urgency because urgent responses are necessitated only when relevance is a factor. I’m not claiming the clairvoyance of Nostradamus, but as I correctly predicted: No Kings failed to generate a mass Republican exodus from the Grand Old Party.
No revolutionary policy was dreamed up, let alone enacted into legislation. No moral high ground was gained or ceded. Poor people are still poor. Bernie Sanders hasn’t relinquished any of his vacation homes. Summer is still hot (remember climate change?). Women still enjoy every civil right as men and, most predictably and deliciously of all, Donald Trump is still the president of The United States of America.
How can I respond with such smug confidence in the face of millions of No Kings attendees across the country? A quick glance at 47’s steady satisfaction numbers help me sleep peacefully. Perusing over his ever lengthening Supreme Court win column will surely boost the confidence levels of suspicious witnesses to the late theatrical events.
More? Check the newspaper for the Donald’s astounding list of foreign policy triumphs. Peace in the Middle East, anyone? DEI is no longer en vogue, the Supreme Court deemed castrating minors, shall we say, questionable. Illegal border crossings are nil etc. etc.
Still not satiated? How about a quick glossing over of the Democrat’s polling numbers who, despite their incredible inability to find a compelling answer to MAGA, currently enjoy the lowest satisfaction rate in memory with an astounding 73% dissatisfaction among Democrats!
Phew. How bad is it when even “progressives” have had enough of your political cosplay?
Why is such a travesty to be, you say? Well it’s really not complicated. Regular Americans recognize leftist antics as mostly pathetic, attention-seeking tantrums of privileged, entitled turds wallowing in manufactured oppression.
Such as the Democrat activists, excuse me, lawmakers throwing themselves, wrists pressed together before cuffs even arrive into the hands of security guards, pausing from their doltish slogans only long enough to pose for the camera.
Or climate change clown Greta turned Gaza savior bloating her carbon footprint in order to float three bologna sandwiches to Palestine only to be held “hostage” by Israeli forces. Grownups recognize the repulsive irony of Greta’s sympathy toward actual hostage takers, many of whom would have enthusiastically shown Miss Thunberg their world-renowned intifada hospitality if given the chance.
Or leftwing intellectual thought leader and mega millionaire Whoopi Goldberg confidently declaring on national television — in courageous defiance of the evil emperor — that life for black Americans is just as violent and oppressive as life in Iran. Can we GoFundMe her a plane ticket?
Is it any wonder the left isn’t being taken seriously? Pathological contempt (and, not just for Donald) is causing them to make constant fools of themselves. They have no compelling message beyond free stuff for voters and “orange man bad”!
They have no bench of charismatic leaders and their most diehard voters are all getting deported (or droned). All they have are hysterical theatrics. So let them go on. They will continue to reap their reward in the election booths … assuming the callous King with tiny hands allows another election.
