I first met Diego Zegarra over 12 years ago when I was a teenager volunteering alongside him in local education programs. Even back then, Diego wasn’t just showing up — he was leading. He listened to families, empowered young people, and made it clear that building community means centering those who are often left out of the decision-making process.
Today, Diego continues to live those values. As vice president of impact at the Park City Community Foundation, he has spent years advancing access for youth, supporting our workforce, and advocating for all Park City residents. He knows that a healthy community doesn’t happen by accident. It requires intentional policies that prioritize locals, sustainability, and belonging.
Park City is at a crossroads. We need leaders who have deep roots in the community and a proven track record of collaboration and action. Diego has been doing the work since 2009. He’s vocal for locals, committed to community, and ready to serve all of us, not just a few.
A seat on City Council for Diego is a seat for all. He brings people together, values every voice, and leads with empathy and experience. That’s the kind of leadership Park City needs right now.
