I am writing to offer my wholehearted and unequivocal support for Jack Rubin in his run for mayor of Park City. Having known Jack for over 15 years, I can speak not only to his character but to his exceptional capacity to lead.
Throughout my career in financial services and technology, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing exceptional leadership up close, and Jack Rubin embodies the traits of a leader as completely as one can.
I first met Jack in New York City when he was the chairman of Let’s Get Ready, a non-profit dedicated to helping underprivileged students gain access to college. Jack invited me to attend their annual fundraising gala and gave me a seat at his table, allowing me to meet and connect with some of the most influential people in New York. This act of generosity on Jack’s part was symbolic of who I came to know Jack to be, someone who was always willing to create opportunities for others.
Since meeting Jack, I’ve seen first hand his tireless efforts to build coalitions, inspire action, and change lives via his work on behalf of Let’s Get Ready. He didn’t just chair the organization. He helped build a broad community of teachers, volunteers, students, community leaders and donors, all dedicated to a common good.
Over the years, Jack has also been an invaluable mentor to me, serving as a consistent sounding board and always offering sage advice. This is who Jack is at his core: someone who invests in people. His ability to connect with anyone, to genuinely put himself in their shoes, is a rare and powerful skill that enables him to find the win-win scenarios needed to overcome the toughest challenges that face any community, including Park City.
To be clear, Jack is also tough as nails.
Deeply principled, he is a fighter who believes in doing the right thing each time, not just when it’s convenient.
Park City needs a leader with a proven track record of bringing people together to achieve ambitious goals. It needs a leader who is both compassionate and effective. That leader is Jack Rubin. I encourage you to join me in supporting him for mayor.
