In 1975 I ascended from the valley below and happily settled in Summit County. For 50 years now, I have been involved with theatre and music. Beginning with The Egyptian Theatre, Kimball Art Center and KPCW Radio and then onto founding Park City Faces on PCTV, The Wooden Dog Concert Series and Mountain Town Stages.
This past December I dropped the mic after 40 years of being on-air at KPCW. When I heard the news that federal funding for Public Radio was being eliminated, I asked to return to help raise funds during the upcoming pledge drive. I am appalled by the cuts targeted at our fabulous small-town station that I love so much!
I want to advocate and support arts and culture, and I ask you to join me. No “Cultural Revolution” but rather a “Cultural Celebration!”
This is not about political sides. It is about unity. Music thrills everyone! It’s showtime, folks — listen up!
I am giving my voice specifically to support music programming on KPCW of which I have a great deal of pride in my role over the decades.
