Monster Drawing Rally at the Kimball Art Center
The Arts Council of Park City & Summit County and the Kimball Art Center will host the annual Monster Drawing Rally from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Kimball Art Center, 1251 Kearns Blvd. The fundraiser for both nonprofits will feature 27 local and regional artists who create original art that will be sold for only $50. John Ford Coley and Ambrosia at the Egyptian Theatre
Singer and songwriter John Ford Coley and Ambrosia will wrap up a four-night residency, Sept. 13-14, at the Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main St. Coley is known for the songs “We’ll Never Have to Say Goodbye Again” and “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight,” which he wrote and recorded with the late “England” Dan Seals. Ambrosia hit the charts in the 1970s with songs such as “How Much I Feel,” “Biggest Part of Me” and “You’re the Only Woman.” Tickets are available at parkcityshows.com.
Park City’s BalletNext Performs in Salt Lake City
BalletNext, Park City’s resident dance company, will make a grand jeté to Salt Lake City, when it performs an evening of works, featuring “The Devil Wears Pointe Shoes,” starting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15, at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, 138 W. Park City Farmers Market Every Wednesday
The Park City Farmers Market runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Wednesday through October at Park City Mountain’s First Time chair lift lot. PC Idol Karaoke Tournament Finals
The PC Idol Karaoke Tournament finals will run from 9:30-11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, at The Cabin, 427 Main St. For the past six weeks amateur singers from the greater Park City area have converged on the Cabin for the karaoke contest. Members of the public are welcome to attend and root for their favorite contestant and participate in their own singing afterward until 1 a.m. Admission is free for ages 21 and older.
