As longtime Park City residents, we feel fortunate to call both candidates for mayor “friend.” But when it comes to who is best prepared to lead, our support is firmly with Jack Rubin.
Jack and his wife, Jamie, have been full-time residents for more than a decade. He isn’t running because he needs a job. He’s running because he wants to put his skills and experience to work for the community he loves at a time when we need these skills most.
Unlike others who may come to the role with business interests tied to real estate or development, Jack has no such conflicts. He is free from outside pressures, beholden to no clients or projects. His only agenda is protecting Park City and ensuring residents’ priorities guide every decision at City Hall.
Jack also brings a proven record of leadership and strategic thinking. Whether in business, non-profits, or civic life, he has built consensus, asked hard questions, and delivered results. That’s the approach Park City needs at a time when our municipal budget has soared without corresponding progress on transportation or confidence in government, and when public investments like the Arts and Culture District have languished for years.
Jack’s priorities are clear:

- Keep our community affordable and accessible.
- Lead with honesty, respect, and collaboration.
We also trust Jack’s judgment to guide the City Council in hiring the next city manager, one of the most important decisions our city will face.
