I’m proud to add my name to the distinguished group of nonprofit leaders, current and former city and county elected and appointed officials, and the last five mayors in endorsing Ryan Dickey for mayor.
This group recognizes the complexity of the challenges facing Park City and understands that there are no quick fixes, silver bullets, or simple solutions to complex problems.
They appreciate the difficulty of turning words into action. They have done the work and put in time and effort. They understand who and what Park City is and is not and believe our future should reflect our past values and norms.
We are a real city with a soul. Ryan understands this and has earned their support and mine.
I first became acquainted with Ryan during his tenure on the Snyderville Basin Planning Commission. Throughout numerous meetings and extensive public engagement, Ryan demonstrated thoughtful leadership by casting a well-considered vote against the Dakota Pacific project, helping to ensure that a negative recommendation was sent to the County Council.
Ryan also serves alongside me on the Snyderville Basin Water Reclamation District Board of Trustees, where his expertise and diligence are evident. On the current Park City Council, Ryan is a moderating force, earning the respect of his colleagues. He is approachable, open-minded, and genuinely listens to and values public input.
Having lived in the greater Park City area for 45 years, my love for our community runs deep. The choice of mayor is critically important for the future of Park City. I have full confidence in Ryan Dickey’s ability to serve as an exceptional mayor and firmly believe he is the leader our city needs at this moment. I urge you to support Ryan Dickey for mayor.
