City Hall should pivot on its plans for the 5-Acre Site. The acres should be a community gathering space/park with some art and perhaps a well designed food-hall with a cafe and brewery/restaurant. Include an amphitheater, bike paths, underground parking, and a bus stop.
The city is making progress on its affordable housing goals (e.g., Studio Crossings) and Kearn’s Boulevard has yet to feel the impact of EngineHouse coming on line. Add to that the already approved affordable housing projects on Bonanza Drive (for Deer Valley employees) and Monitor Drive (HOPA).
I’m far more aligned with Cheryl Fox than with the seven tall buildings surrounding an interior narrow strip of lawn currently being proposed at the corner of our most congested intersection. If you agree, let the City Council know.
