First of all, many thanks to all of the candidates who participated in the elections for mayor and City Council. I appreciate anyone who is willing to be a part of Park City governance.
I enthusiastically endorse Jack Rubin for our next mayor. He is a non-insider, which I see as ideal for steering the future of Park City without entrenched interests. I believe he has the ability to balance tourism’s economic benefits with protecting what makes Park City extraordinary by his pledges to:
- Bring a residents-first perspective, with open communication and no hidden agenda.
- Address housing affordability, with emphasis on community equity, as demonstrated by his leadership in raising funds to cover rent and utilities for families via the Christian Center of Park City.
- Promote transparency, common-sense solutions, and proactive governance, via a culture change at City Hall, with decisive leadership.
- Develop much needed relationship with county and state entities that impact the future of Park City.
Overall, Jack is a pragmatic, community-oriented leader with business acumen aiming to preserve Park City’s unique character amid change. He will prove to be an excellent mayor of Park City.
