My name is Diego Zegarra, and I’m running to represent you at City Hall because I believe Park City’s brightest days are still ahead. Over the past 16 years, this town has given me so much: community, purpose, and a deep sense of belonging.
I’ve seen first hand the power of what we can do when we come together, and I want to help shape what’s next. My vision for Park City is rooted in connection, balance, and strategy.
In 2035, Park City is a place where locals live, and thrive. Our neighborhoods are vibrant and connected, welcoming to people from all backgrounds and beliefs.
Housing is a cornerstone of community health, and we have thoughtfully scaled our resources to ensure that teachers, firefighters, artists and ski patrollers can afford to live here, putting down roots and building community.
Knowing your neighbors is the norm, and our policies have prevented further displacement so long-time locals remain part of our shared story. Seniors can find housing that meets their needs.
Our balanced economy thrives on outdoor recreation and tourism while supporting local businesses, green jobs and creative industries. We’ve invested in early education and public spaces, making Park City a place where families can grow and young people can imagine their futures here. Where seniors frequent a best-in-class senior center.
Our transit system works! It is easy and climate-friendly, connecting every corner of town without adding to traffic or pollution. Walking and biking are safe, natural choices for getting around, and the air we breathe is cleaner than ever.
We’ve faced our biggest challenges with innovation and care — leading again in sustainability, wildfire preparedness, and renewable energy. Our mountains, trails, and open spaces are stewarded with zeal, protecting the natural beauty that drew us here while adapting to the realities of a changing climate. We helped host the first carbon-positive Olympics, bringing once-in-a-generation investment to our region.
Above all, Park City in 2035 is united. We listen to each other. We honor our history while embracing change. And we measure success not just by economic gains, but by the well-being of every neighbor.
