Saturday Morning Nature Walks at the Swaner Preserve
Saturday morning nature walks are held at 9:30 a.m. every week at the Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter, 1258 Center Drive at Kimball Junction. The cost is $10 per person. When snow is on the Preserve, nature walkers use snowshoes. Pre-registration is required for all Saturday Nature Morning Walks. Walk-ins are not available at this time, and all tours are capped at 15 participants. Registration closes at 7 a.m. the day of the scheduled walk. Park City Film: ‘My Father’s Shadow’
Park City Film continues its weekend screenings of Akinola Davies Jr.’s “My Father’s Shadow” at 7 p.m. on Saturday, and at 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Jim Santy Auditorium. ‘Park City Follies’ at the Egyptian Theatre
“Park City Follies” runs through May 3 at the Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main St. The annual musical farce that pokes fun at all things Park City and raises funds for the Egyptian Theatre celebrates its 25th year. ‘Ute History Revealed’ Lecture
The Park City Museum will present a free lecture, “Ute History Revealed,” by Forrest Cuch at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, at the museum’s Education and Collections Center, 2079 Sidewinder Drive. Cuch was born and raised on the Uintah and Ouray Ute Indian Reservation in northeastern Utah and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in the behavioral sciences from Westminster College. He’s served as director for Utah Division of Indian Affairs and published a book, “A History of Utah’s American Indians,” in 2000. Cuch also played a key role in the PBS/KUED sponsored curriculum project, “We Shall Remain,” featuring a video series of the histories of the Utah tribes. For information, visit parkcityhistory.org.
