As someone whose entire career has been in writing true stories, “The long descent after Makalu” (July 11) is the finest piece of writing I’ve read in nearly a half century of reading The Record.
What a well told and harrowing tale about an inspiring local couple. Congratulations to Petr Herink for his storytelling skill.
