The 2026 Park City Kimball Arts Festival, which runs Friday through Sunday on Main Street, would not be possible without volunteers.
“It takes hundreds of volunteers to do what needs to be done,” said Volunteer Coordinator
Natalie Hall. “We currently have over 200 people signed up right now to help us out with nearly 500 shifts, and some of them are averaging more than two shifts per person. But we’d love to have more.”
Anyone interested in volunteering can do so by visiting kimballartsfestival.org/volunteer, according to Hall.
“Every hour helps us out, and we’re looking to fill a variety of shifts, including working the entry gates and concession stands,” she said.
Shifts run between three to four hours each, and they are organized by the time of the day. Hall said.
“We have shifts available in the mornings, afternoons and evenings, so there is flexibility,” she said.
All volunteers, whether they are running errands for participating artists, helping festival patrons, working merchandise booths or other duties, get free access to the festival all weekend, Hall said.
“So, you can work your shift and then enjoy the rest of the festival with family and friends, or even if you’re volunteering Sunday night, you can enjoy the festival Friday and Saturday,” she said.
Other perks include entry in opportunity drawings, according to Hall.
“You get an entry ticket with each shift you sign up for,” she said. “So, the more shifts you sign up for, the more chances you will get to win a variety of awesome prizes donated from local businesses.”
Those prizes include restaurant vouchers, gift cards, spa-massages and more, Hall said.
“Volunteers can put their tickets toward all or any one of the prizes,” she said. “The prizes will be given out during the volunteer-appreciation party that takes place the Tuesday after the festival.”
In addition, all volunteers will receive a free T-shirt and a tote bag as well as access to the volunteer lounge, Hall said.
“For the lounge, we take over one of the big spaces at the Gateway, and it’s where volunteers check in,” she said. “It’s stocked with snacks and drinks all weekend. It’s air conditioned and has clean bathrooms. So, it’s a super nice spot to collect yourself before your shift, and it’s a great place to grab a snack and drink after a shift and hang out with your new volunteer friends.”
The Clockwork Cafe will also provide free lunches for those who volunteer during the day Saturday and Sunday.
All volunteers can keep a running tally on how many hours they work for additional benefits, Hall said.
“If you volunteer 20 hours or more in one calendar year, you are automatically eligible for a membership to the Kimball Art Center,” she said.
Kimball Art Center membership bonuses include early registration to art classes, discounts in tuition, access to different events, including exhibition openings.
“Some people have filled all of those 20 hours during one Arts Festival,” she said with a laugh.
